The dealing room, which consisted of three people, has been amalgamated with the Toronto office. “It made more sense to be located in Canada’s biggest economy – Ontario,” said Lars Hakanson, head of global foreign exchange Europe and Australasia, SG CIB in London.

One member of staff has joined the Toronto office, a second is in the process of making a decision on the transfer and the third is pursuing a different career path, said Hakanson.
