Client migration to Citi's Velocity nears completion

NEW YORK - Citi will complete the migration of all clients over to CitiFX Velocity from its incumbent foreign exchange electronic commerce system, CitiFX Trade, by mid-September, according to a senior official.

Dan Osborne, New York-based director of foreign exchange electronic commerce, said more than 90% of users have already been transferred over. The process of moving clients to Velocity began mid-January, with the platform officially launched two months later (FX Week, March 9).
