London still top for FX
According to semi-annual FX surveys released by regional bodies on July 28, average daily FX turnover in the UK surged 54% in April, to $1.82 trillion, from the same period last year. This is a sharp rise against the 15.7% growth, to $715 billion, experienced in the US between April 2007 and April this year. Canada similarly recorded average turnover growth of 17.7%, to $63.3 billion in April this year versus the same period last year.
