Citi in e-FX shake-up
Wells, a 14-year veteran of the bank, leaves the financial services industry to spend time with his family and pursue other interests. He joined Citi in 1994 as part of an experiment of recruitment from the British Military. He began his career in technology before being brought into the front office to learn markets on the FX short-term interest rate (stirt) desk.
Wells became head of the London spot desk, and eventually global head of spot and stirt trading, before returning to his technology
