GFI's brokerage streams down 19% in Q4

NEW YORK - Brokerage revenues at GFI declined 19% in the fourth quarter, totalling $193.8 million, the firm announced last week (February 19).

The slump included drops of 21%, 37% and 30% for credit, financial and commodity product revenues respectively. Within credit products there was a 61% increase in corporate and sovereign fixed-income revenue, although this was offset by a 47% decrease in credit derivatives revenue.
