Salesmen and structurers are in demand, survey finds

These were the key conclusions of a study by recruitment firm Akamai Financial Markets. The Akamai FX Talent transfer study found that of 368 people moves across 60 institutions, 62% were in sales, 24% in trading, 7% structuring and 7% in strategy. Simon Head, director of EMEA global markets at Akamai said the high proportion of sales staff reflected a drive by banks towards client-led revenue.
