CME prepares to handle increased trading volume

A presentation on the subject was delivered by Dave Schulz, director of FX products at the CME and Steve Goldman, director of architecture at the exchange.

When asked whether the CME would be burdened by surging trade volumes following its recently completed merger with the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), Goldman said scalability is the answer. "The CME will add servers to handle the new products," he said. "We'll add more lanes for order routing, which will help us handle the additional customers
