Merrill Lynch rebuilds in sales

It has hired Soren Klausen for Scandinavian FX sales, reporting to Stefan Collet, responsible for the northern Europe team. Klausen joins from a similar role at Dresdner Kleinwort in London, and replaces Peter Larsson, who left last month (FX Week, June 12).
Merrill is also understood to have hired Karaca Mestci to work on the emerging markets sales desk in London, although the bank did not confirm the hire before press time.
Mestci last worked in a similar role for Wachovia, also in London
