Bear Stearns poaches senior BNP Paribas staff

Stéphane Prunier, head of the Paris-based institutional FX sales team, announced his resignation from BNP Paribas last week, the bank confirmed. It is believed he will join Bear Stearns in a similar capacity. He reported to François Boisson, London-based European head of institutional FX sales.

Prunier's departure was followed two days later by that of Remy Covarel, head of French corporate sales of FX, also Paris-based. He will be taking up a similar role at Bear Stearns. His replacement at BNP
