BBA considers changes to calculation of Libor
On May 30 trade body the British Bankers' Association (BBA) will complete research and begin discussions on whether to change the calculation, amid concerns it does not reflect conditions in the United States.
Libor is currently calculated and fixed daily by the BBA on what 16 banks, of which only three are US-based, estimate as their funding costs.
The three-month dollar Libor dropped to 2.71875 from the previous day's 2.72% on Thursday (May 15), with the six-month rising to 2.94125% from 2.93875
