HKMA's Yip moves on

Yip, who is responsible for managing the reserves, formally leaves on January 6, 2006, but Chu took up responsibilities of the role last week (November 16). Yip gives up her position at the HKMA to return to the private sector.

The chief executive of the HKMA, Joseph Yam, said: "Amy has made an enormous contribution to the growth and development of the fund in these eventful years and played a key role in the market operation of 1998 and in developing the disposal programme for Hong Kong
