Traders Claim 'Manipulation' Of Reuters 2000-2 In New York

A number of mark/lira dealers in New York who use the Reuters Dealing 2000-2 electronic FX matching service claim that it can and has been used to "manipulate the market" by indicating buying or selling interest where it doesn't really exist. However, others argue that the "so-called manipulation" occurs every day in all three mediums available to the forex market -- the direct market, broking and electronic broking -- to bring out liquidity.

According to several traders in the New York market
