relaxed rules governing foreigners’ use of the Singapore dollar for bond, equity, interest rate, and repurchase agreement transactions on November 26. The Monetary Authority of Singapore is to allow foreign corporates and sovereigns to issue Singapore dollar denominated bonds. MAS will also allow banks to trade freely Singapore dollar denominated OTC interest rate derivatives with non-Singapore residents.
