iX Sparks Debate Over Euro Listing

LONDON--Deutsche Boerse’s approval of the merger with the London Stock Exchange last week rehashed fund managers’ fears over euro listings on the merged exchange.

Deutsche Boerse confirmed that companies listed on iX, the merged exchange, will be able to choose whether to list in sterling or euros.

Fund managers say any increase in UK companies listing in euros will make them less desirable to institutional and private investors in the UK, hampering liquidity on the new exchange.
