In a global breakdown of revenue from sales of real-time, foreign exchange market data, the major market vendors' total revenue amounted to more than $1.57 billion in 1995 (or 30 per cent of the trading markets), according to Waters Information Services' MDJ: The Market Data Industry reference guide.

MDI also found total screen count for FX data totalled 166,800 globally, or 22 per cent of the total trading markets included in the study. The trading markets included are FX, equities, fixed
