Reuters Pulls Malaysian Ringgit From D2000-2 At Negara's Behest

Reuters last week announced it would remove the Malaysian ringgit from its Dealing 2000-2 electronic broking service on June 24, honouring Bank Negara Malaysia's request to take it off the service, officials confirm.

When the ringgit was launched May 13, the D2000-2 service was not available in Malaysia (and still is not), but at the time, Reuters officials told FX Week that it was taking the unusual step of launching a currency without being in the centre, because of strong international demand
