BANK OF AMERICA APPOINTS SENIOR MANAGERS IN LONDON

Bank of America has appointed Brian Heyworth as head of sales for its Global Markets Group (GMG) for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, a role that includes responsibility for FX sales.

Heyworth succeeds Gerhard Seebacher, who transferred to the bank in New York to manage global derivatives product sales.

Formerly head of sales for GMG in the UK and Ireland, Heyworth now reports to Chris Mandell, global head of institutional sales, and Arrington Mixon, head of GMG in Europe, who was also recently promoted from her previous role as head of sales, trading and research.

ABN AMRO HIRES IN FX OPTIONS

joined ABN Amro in Amsterdam last month as an FX options trader, reporting to head of emerging market FX options Patrik Roos, who is also based in Amsterdam.

The hire signals the bank’s continued commitment to its FX options business, which has seen strong growth over the past 18 months, a spokesperson for the bank in London told FX Week. Hanson was previously at Standard Chartered Bank in London.

DUBLIN’S ULSTER BANK HIRES IN TREASURY RESEARCH

Ulster Bank has hired a second member to its forex and treasury research team in Dublin. James Jordan, a technical analyst for FX, money markets and debt markets
in Europe, joined at the beginning of January from Bank of America
in Dublin.

At Ulster Bank, he joins Niall Dunne, treasury economist, another recent addition to the bank. Dunne replaced Aziz McMahon, who left Ulster Bank to join ABN Amro in London late last year (FX Week, January 7).
