First Chicago Plans Shut-Down Of FX Fund Management Sub

First National Bank of Chicago will shut down its foreign exchange fund management subsidiary, First Chicago Trading Consultants Inc. (FCTCI), by year-end, effectively withdrawing from this business, according to bank officials. FCTCI, which was registered with the CFTC as both a Commodity Trading Advisor and Commodity Pool Operator, evolved out of the bank's proprietary trading desk in 1992.
