BoE Governor Assures City Traders Euro Will Be A Viable Currency

LONDON--Addressing members of ACI UK: The Financial Markets Association at the annual Roy Bridge memorial lecture, Bank of England (BoE) governor Eddie George presented signed certificates to graduates of the ACI Diploma and assured City traders that the euro will be a viable currency when it is launched in January 1999. The ceremony and lecture were held at the Draper's Hall in London on April 1, and attracted about 450 members of ACI UK and other industry professionals.
