Paribas reports revenues from its global fixed income and equity activity, which includes FX, increased 15 per cent to ¤566 million ($664.5 million) in 1998 from ¤491 million ($576 million) the previous year. The results have been restated this year to reflect the bank's restructuring into four core business lines. Fixed income and equities now form a part of the capital markets unit of the Corporate and Investment Banking division. Euro conversions were made using the opening rate of USD1.174
