London Forex Compensation Strong, Despite Market Downturn, Says Survey

LONDON--Salaries in the London forex market are up significantly on last year, despite the wave of redundancies that has hit the industry in recent months, according to the latest Monks Partnership survey (see table below).

Joe Clark, a consultant at Monks in London, says the report shows an overall increase in base salaries for FX-related dealing positions of about 7 per cent versus November last year, and an increase of 14 per cent if bonus payments are included. Most base salaries were also up
