A world record for swimming the English Channel has been set by foreign exchange trader Alison Streeter M.B.E., aged 31, who during the working week can found at the London offices of Standard Chartered Bank (FXW, July 24). Streeter on September 4 completed her 32nd crossing of the Channel in 10 hours 58 minutes, breaking the previous record of 31 crossings and immediately vowed to continue her record-breaking swims. Streeter who is sponsored by Reuters and the National Grid is raising money
