Fed's Fisher Gets Another Promotion While Greene Takes Early Retirement

Just a year after receiving full responsibilities for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's foreign exchange business, Peter Fisher has been given another promotion and an even broader role (FX Week, Sept. 27, 1993). At the same time, senior vice president Margaret (Gretchen) Greene has announced her early retirement from the central bank, as have several other long-serving women executives.
