FX traders maintain vigil

LONDON -- In an unprecedented display of restraint, FX traders last week continued to follow advice from the authorities to limit trading in the wake of the World Trade Center tragedy.

The Bank of England asked banks to limit dollar trading in the days after the attacks, while forex market body ACI -- The Financial Markets Association -- requested that transactions be limited only to those considered necessary.
