Lloyds Bank-TSB Merger Will Involve Treasury Consolidation, Officials Say

The £13.6 billion merger of Lloyds Bank and TSB Group, announced last week, will definitely involve amalgamation of the two banks' treasury operations, according to bank officials. Lloyds deputy chief executive and treasurer Alan Moore, who will hold the same job in the new group and manage the merger of the wholesale banking side, says the treasury groups will likely be consolidated in the Lloyds trading room.

"Treasury is definitely high on the list of areas to consolidate and co-ordinate,"
