Barclays Makes Long-Awaited Hire Of New Chief Executive In London

Barclays Plc made the long-awaited announcement last week for a chief executive to replace David Band, who died unexpectedly, at the age of 53, in April (FXW, April 8). Bill Harrison will be the new chief executive for the investment banking subsidiary BZW and is expected to join in September as an executive director of Barclays Plc and Barclays Bank Plc.
