The Hong Kong Futures Exchange plans an early 1995 introduction of an electronic trading system and will use it to trade planned currency contracts. The system, to be provided by Sweden's OM Systems International, will allow exchange members to trade in real time. HKFE chief executive Ivers Riley says that the first contract traded on the system will be currency-related. The exchange plans to introduce dollar/mark and dollar/sterling contracts.
