DNI To Launch Internet OTCTrading Service

CHARLOTTE--A new IP-based transaction system for over-the-counter derivatives trading, dubbed Blackbird, is slated to get underway by May, say officials at Derivatives Net Inc. (DNI), the Charlotte, North Carolina-based developers of the new platform.

Initially, Blackbird can be used for interest rate swaps (on a spread or absolute basis); interest rate basis swaps; forward rate agreements (FRAs); and FRA switches in major currencies.

Future releases of Blackbird will cover interest rate options
