The newly formed Polish Forex Club is applying for membership of the Association Cambiste Internationale, according to its chairman Piotr Epsztein, director of foreign exchange at Bank Pekoa in Warsaw. Its Hungarian counterpart is already a member. Epsztein says the Polish club now has 18 full members and expects eventually to expand to about 70.

The People's Bank of China has started talks with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority about investing part of its $45 billion worth of foreign exchange
