Volumes Of World Futures And Options Rises By 10 Per Cent In 1999, Says FIA

WASHINGTON, DC--World trading volumes for futures and options traded in 1999 were up 10 per cent over 1998 according to the US-based Futures Industry Association, which says 2.4 billion contracts were traded last year.

The FIA says that overall growth was up 7 per cent in the US with 1.1 billion trades and 13 per cent outside of the US with 1.3 billion trades.
