Commodity prices and interest rate differentials have helped the Australian dollar find a firmer footing in recent weeks, says Besa Deda. But, she says, the currency still remains vulnerable to potential negative US and Asian sentiment

After registering an all-time record low of US47.75 cents on April 3, the Australian dollar has appreciated to a two-month high, of around US52 cents. Indeed, over the past month the Australian dollar is the strongest performing major global currency against the US
