Citi focuses on Germany

FRANKFURT – Citigroup has made three hires to its FX business in Frankfurt, in a move that underlines its commitment to the German market, said global forex head Richard Moore last week.

“Germany is a very important centre for Europe – not just within the plans for foreign exchange but within the wider corporate investment bank,” he told FX Week. “It’s difficult to be relevant in Europe if you’re not relevant in Germany. It is strategically and size-wise very important to us.”
