ANZ Bank Restructures In NZ, As Part Of Global Centralization

ANZ Bank's centralization policy has led to a number of changes in the bank's Wellington-based FX group.

Bill Murdoch, head of FX for ANZ in New Zealand, says the impact of the globalization has led to an expansion of the group's product range, sales capability and range of currencies; however, it has also meant a condensed trading staff.

Murdoch says that in recent months, ANZ in Wellington has reduced its FX team by four people. He stresses that there were no redundancies involved, saying three
