Lasser & IEP linked In New York 'Merger Talks' As U.S. FX Brokers Close Desks To Stay Afloat

January has been a trying month in the brokerage community, with shops in the U.S. closing desks and doing deals to stay afloat, sources say. In what may prove yet another instance of consolidation in the brokers market, sources say M.W. Marshall's U.S. subsidiary Lasser Marshall, is talking to Intercontinental Exchange Partners (IEP, aka Ice) about a possible merger, buy-out or absorption of sorts.
