FX portals get Euro passport

LONDON – FX trading portals Atriax and Currenex are free to deal in all European economic areas, the firms announced last week.

The authorisation gives both portals a “European passport” to deal with clients in all 18 EEA countries (see box).

Previously, Atriax was registered to trade in the UK with recognition from the UK Financial Services Authority. The additional regulation came one week after the portal’s June 28 launch, and will be most important in the Netherlands, where the
