INDONESIA INTRODUCES NEW FX RULES

The Central Bank of Indonesia has introduced preventative measures to shore-up recent losses to the rupiah, which experienced increased volatility over the last few months.

Onshore banks in Indonesia have been given a new limit of $3 million that they can lend to offshore institutions for non-investment purposes. The previous limit was $5 million.
