Banque Nationale De Paris Plans Global Options Book

Banque Nationale de Paris is planning to expand its presence in currency options by creating a global book, according to bank officials. Foreign exchange manager Albert Bossuet says that the bank plans to send two or three traders to New York in December to start a currency options desk there.
BNP currently has no options presence in New York, running its options book with a team of eight people in Paris, supplemented by another two traders in Tokyo, according to Bossuet. The new options team in
