Multinet Looks Kindly On G-20 Project During UK Settlement Risk Conference

Multinet, the North America-based multilateral netting group, would be willing to cooperate with European rival Echo in developing a clearing bank for the G-20 bank group to do continuous linked settlement, according to the group's chairman, Garrett Glass.

Speaking at a conference on reducing settlement risk held in London last month, Glass said Multinet would take "a positive attitude" toward cooperating with Echo on the project--the G-20 group has said that the two multilateral clearing houses
