Danske Closes Offices In Singapore And Hong Kong

SINGAPORE/HONG KONG -- Den Danske Bank has closed its offices in Singapore and Hong Kong, transferring business from the two FX dealing floors to its 24-hour desk in Copenhagen.

FX staff at both centres have already left the bank, although banking activity does not officially cease until June 1, said a source at the bank in Singapore. Departures include Singapore treasurer Ole Jorgensen and chief dealer Yow Peng Fatt, said the source.

Jorgensen transfers to Danske Bank in Copenhagen on July 1
