Reuters Holdings PLC's not-for-customization policy on its Dealing 2000 automated trading system for the interbank foreign exchange market could open windows of opportunity for competitive systems. Reuters prohibits traders from modifying Dealing 2000 in any way, and users feel that the first of its rivals to take a more lenient approach could find itself in the money.
