The Electronic Broking Service (EBS) has announced a record volume day for September 21. Overall volume on the service for that day was 16,942 "takes", the highest recorded since the service started two years ago. That number of takes represents $53.8 billion in transactions, of which $32.7 billion was in dollar/mark, $9.2 billion was in mark/Paris, $5.3 billion in mark/Swiss and $5.2 billion in dollar/yen. EBS volume has been rising in the past three weeks and now averages more that 12,000
