Reuters' Dealing 2000-1 conversational dealing system was knocked out for just under two hours in London Wednesday, September 25, officials say. The outage, which occurred between 9:05 a.m. and 10:59 a.m. (London time), was blamed by some foreign exchange dealers for slowing activity during the morning session. A Reuters official said the outage did not affect all centres and that Reuters was still investigating both the cause of the outage and its impact on customers.
