NEW YORK--Lars Olsen has been appointed head of the e-commerce group for global FX at Citibank.
The move underlines the growing importance of the internet in foreign exchange sales for the bank, which rolled out its full online forex trading service last November.
Citi expects the e-commerce aspect of forex to become increasingly important over the next few years. "The pace of change will accelerate over the next four years," says global head of foreign exchange, Guy Whittaker, in London.
