Barclays standardises New York trading technology

NEW YORK -- Trading technology at Barclays Capital’s global centres will be standardised worldwide after the bank’s New York business moves into the Metlife building in midtown Manhattan in September.

The bank has taken the opportunity to install the same core technology and applications used in London and Tokyo, with a view to "maintaining global standards" said Nick Themelis, chief technology officer at the bank.
