First Chicago Restructures FX Marketing In North America Towards 'Team' Approach

First National Bank of Chicago is restructuring its foreign exchange marketing division in North America and plans a "significant" staff expansion, officials say. The bank is retreating from its more traditional approach to marketing and adopting a "team-oriented" strategy, says Britt Swofford, senior vice president and global head of foreign exchange based in Chicago.

Previously, the bank had two marketing groups, institutional and corporate, that were run separately. The policy change includes
