Singapore unfazed as report advises shift away from FX

SINGAPORE -- FX market participants in Singapore were unconcerned last week by a report proposing to bolster the state’s wealth management industry at the expense of foreign exchange.

The report, from Singapore’s Economic Review Committee (ERC), said the Lion City should refocus away from FX and investment banking and promote longer-term investment through fund management, global processing and risk management.
