Citi FX to become part of fixed-income group

Citigroup is not replacing Julian Simmonds, global head of Citigroup FX and structured products, a spokesperson at the bank in London told FX Week. Simmonds, who is retiring, had been with the bank since 1972 (FX Week, May 28).

Instead, Citigroup will bring FX within the fixed-income division, which is managed by Tom Maheras in New York. "It’s a good fit," said the spokesperson at Citi in London, "and would also help build the investor franchise".
