Smith Barney Consolidates In London, But Plans Continuation Of FX Build-Up

Smith Barney shifted its Paris-based FX trading operation to London in order to create a full-service operation in one centre, says Martin Marx, global head of foreign exchange in New York. Additionally, Marx added the global sales responsibility to his existing oversight for global FX trading.

Meanwhile, Marc Fiorentino, who previously headed FX sales globally, is now overseeing the asset management business and will focus on building up that operation. Fiorentino maintains his branch manager
