Tradeware Debuts FIX Server For Mid-Sized Firms

NEW YORK--Tradeware, which writes front-end applications for the Financial Information Exchange (FIX) protocol, has rolled out its Java-based server, JFIXServer.

With the new FIX server, Tradeware is ready to accommodate a variety of instruments that "are beginning to open up to FIX", such as fixed income, convertibles, foreign exchange and over-the-counter derivatives trading, says William Smithers, president.

JFIXServer is aggressively priced at $4,900 and is aimed at small and medium-sized
