Clients see modest pay increases

US firm Greenwich Associates surveyed about 3,000 buy-side FX and derivatives professionals globally for its annual report, including hedge funds, banks, corporate firms and government institutions.

Average salaries for FX professionals rose from $73,000 in 2001 to $76,000 in 2002, found the research, while bonuses fell slightly from $33,000 to $32,000. The average total package last year was $108,000.

For total compensation, the highest payouts were seen in the US ($172,000), followed by Latin
